The pressure that the atmosphere exerts is called atmospheric pressure. The sum of the partial pressures of all the gases present in the atmosphere is equal to the total atmospheric pressure. The partial pressure that a specific gas exerts in the atmosphere is calculated by multiplying the barometric pressure of the gas with its percentage in the atmosphere.
