Introduction:
The pancreas is a large gland, which is located behind the stomach. It acts as an exocrine gland and secretes digestive enzymes into the small intestine. Some of the cells of the pancreas act as an endocrine gland and produce the hormone. These cells are together known as islets of Langerhans. The cells of islets of Langerhans secrete glucagon and insulin.
