Question
Chapter 46, Problem 8TYU
Summary Introduction

Introduction: The process of gas exchange occurs between an organism and its environment is known as respiration. For cellular respiration, most of the animal cells need a continuous oxygen supply. During respiration, oxygen is inhaled from the environment by animal and transport to individual cells of the body. As well as, carbon dioxide produced by the cell during cellular respiration is exhaled from the body to the atmosphere.

Perch, Frog and Pig. 1.  Why do these organisms require a specialized organ to increase surface area for gas exchange?  Discuss organismal volume relative to surface area in your answer. 2.  Why are these respiratory structures associated with a large blood supply?
1. after heavy rain earthworms come to the surface. How would you explain this behavior in terms of an earthworm's requirements for gas exchange? 2. animals that live on lands such as amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals tissues within the body an advantage for terrestrial animals?
10. Given the illustration below, which of the following ‘analogy’ are more likely similar to the image shown?            A.
