Explanation

Toe is defined as the comparison of distance between the leading and trailing edges of the front tires. Toe-in occurs when the wheel turns towards inward whereas toe-out occurs when the wheel turns towards outside. Toe-in is applied on rear wheel to provides stability in vehicles.

If the extension of wheel meets in front of the direction of travel, called toe-in and if the extension of wheel is on back side of the direction of travel, called toe-out. Toe-out on turns does not affect the handling of the vehicle. It influences wear on tires. It is defined as the amount of toe-out in front wheel when, there is a corner. When the vehicle is facing toe-out-on-turns, it will cause the vehicle to wander. This will indicate presence of unstable steering and a feeling of sloppy inside the car.
