What is structured English?
Structured English, written as a sequence of lines, reflects a hierarchical arrangement of the logical specifications through the use of indentation and capitalization. This method does not include decisions and laws, rather it sets out guidelines and is used to address the problems of an unclear language by specifying the actions and the circumstances under which decisions and procedures are made.
Computer reasoning translated into an English programming format, irrespective of the specific language used in programming. In standardized French the business logic is checked and can then be written in any language of programming. Popular words such as IF-THEN-ELSE and DO WHILE-ENDDO (below) are used, but when actually coded they might not be the same word.
Develop and define structure statements through the following types of statements:
- Sequence structure: It is the main step or operation involved in the sequence process; the presence of certain conditions does not depend on it. When a condition exists in the series structure, it is taken into account.
- Decision Structure: This occurs when a particular condition is used by two or more acts. The criterion has been extended and the decision is made.
- Structure Iteration / Repetition: Some conditions are only defined after specific conditions have been met. An analyst may define the particular cases with iterative instructions.
