Dollar volume gives information regarding the liquidity of shares. Dollar volume liquidity is the multiplication of average stock price and its average volume. When comparing the dollar volume of B2B and B2C e-commerce in U.S., it is found that the dollar volume of B2B e-commerce is roughly twice than that to B2C e-commerce. In 2013, B2B e-commerce sales within United States was estimated to be $559, whereas as per a prediction done by Forbes, this scale will rise up to 6.7 trillion dollars by 2020 compared to B2C e-commerce Dollar volume which is half the size of its measure at 3.7 trillion dollars.

The major forms of e-commerce which are at boom are B2B e-commerce and B2C e-commerce. It is estimated that B2B firms will be spending more on e-commerce technologies than online retailers. Among B2C e-commerce category, most sales are seen in the apparel products and then in electronics and home décor. M-commerce is making its way fast in the e-commerce trends. An estimation projects that mobiles will be reaching 70% of e-commerce traffic by end of 2018. The total revenue generated by m-commerce in USA was $700 billion in 2017. C2C e-commerce is least popular among the other e-commerce trends and is increasing at a constant pace, while e-government refers to government providing its citizens services through online websites.
