Dry forests often catch fires when the temperatures go high. The continuity of the vegetation or its evenness is also a factor in determining which forest type is prone to fires. Usually, the forests that receive high insolation, and less to moderate rainfall encounter forest fires.

Explanation

Tropical forests like the Savannahs and the Chaparrals are made up primarily of grasslands, which are spaced by a few shrubs and trees. In the African grasslands, the Savannahs, inhabits a large population of grazers. Since summers are quite hot in these regions, the grasslands catch fires frequently. This is beneficial for the forest vegetation as well because a majority of seeds depend on fire for germination or to break their dormancy period...
