Question
Chapter 5.4, Problem 1R
Summary Introduction
To review:
The occurrence of the events of metastasis of the cancer cells, in which the cancer cells detach from the extracellular matrix (ECM) and migrate to other sites of the body.
Introduction:
Cancer cells are characterized by uncontrolled growth of the cells. The cell division is not regulated. The cells also move from one site to another site in the body. This process is known as metastasis. The cancer cell detaches from the ECM and goes to other locations in the body. This is the main reason for the deaths due to cancer.
