Introduction:

The edge effect is an ecological concept that describes the overlapping regions between two ecosystems like water and land that are rich in species and biodiversity. The edge effect is explained by the species area relationships. The number of species in a given area depends upon the total measure of that area. The scientists predicted that the larger is the geographical area, more is the number of species.
