Explanation of Solution

Thermally activated process refer to the process that keep on processing not due to average effects, but since the section of particles available in the tail of the dispersal increases with temperature. The process needed a specified quantity of thermal energy, to overcome the barrier of activation energy, and enter into the reactive state.

The rate of activation energy required for such kind of processes increases exponentially with temperature. An increase in temperature will give the energy required for the reaction to take place.

An Arrhenius plot is used to derive a value or rate of the activation energy for a thermally activated process by taking data of rate and finding the slope of the plot.
