The African continent has a greatest percentage of forest loss of 70% .

Explanation of Solution

Forests are places that are of ecological importance. They are places that are thickly covered by trees on all sides. In the present day there is a loss in the forest cover, if it is seen individually in one country or globally of the entire world. This is called deforestation that is cutting and destruction of trees and plants.

From the graph and table, it is clear that the continent Africa has lost the greatest percentage of its original forest. From the table it is evident that the original value of African forest was 2200 million hectares and in the year 2010, it is 674 million hectares which means there is a net loss of 1526 million hectares which is about 70% loss of forest.
