Explanation of Solution

The use of dangerous chemicals as medicine to treat the disease is not ethical because they can have harmful effects on normal people. Earlier, MPTP (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) was used in California and the patients developed symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. This disease is lethal and it is characterized by a sudden death of the brain cells.

Cyanide is also an inhibitor which is used to treat the disease. The use of the drug results in lethality, as it interferes with the functioning of the mitochondria. The drug cyanide, binds to the enzyme ATP synthase and inhibits the production of ATP. The cells require ATP for their function, which leads to the death of cells.

The use of these chemicals may be harmful for the body and result in long-term consequences. Using these drugs may lead to permanent damages. Hence, it is not ethical to use the dangerous chemicals to treat the diseases.

Conclusion

The use of dangerous chemical to treat the disease is not ethical.
