Introduction:
The process of conversion of light energy to chemical energy occurs in two phases of reactions, that is light-dependent reaction and light-independent reaction. In photosynthesis, the two photosystems absorbs light which in turn stimulates an electron molecule to a higher energy state, transforming the energy of sunlight to chemical energy.
