This is a Ophysics lab, I have to find the fundamental frequency and wavelength, and the harmonic number of those recorded. Speed of air is 345 m/s. And then calculate the expected wavelingths.
Even if you can't answer this question, can you give me formulas and points in the right direction. I am desperate at this point.
Any help would be GREAT!
What are the reasonant frequencies for an open organ pipe of fixed length L ? ( Show your sketches and calculations.)
Suppose you want to build a musical instrument with a hollow pipe that is open at one end and closed at the other. You will make it oscillate by blowing air across one end. If it has length 0.8 meters, what frequency will it resonate at in hertz (Hz)? Assume the speed of sound in warm moist air is 340 m/s? Please enter only a number without units so that Blackboard will understand and be able to correctly assess your work.
