What climatic factors combine to produce the seasonal precipitation and temperature conditions that a marine west coast climate experiences?

To determine

The climatic factors combine to produce the seasonal precipitation and temperature conditions that a marine west coast climate experiences.

Explanation

Marine west coast climate is one of the most temperate climates in the world and also known as the temperate oceanic climate. It has its warmest month above 10°C and the coldest month between 18°C and 0°C. It is located in the mid-latitude regions between 40° and 65°. It has year-round ample precipitation as the west coast location is under the influence of westerlies and has mild to cool summers.

Marine west coast climate regions are one of the foggiest, cloudiest, stormiest, and rainiest regions in the world. This is particularly true during the winter. The rain or drizzle lasts on and for days. However, the amount of rain received is small for the number of rainy days recorded.  The weather is cloudy or foggy during non-rainy days.

Advection fog is particularly common and long lasting in the winter months when the maritime air masses obtain significant moisture, which condenses to form fog when the air masses move over colder land. The frontal systems and cyclonic storms are also strongest in the winter when the polar front and the subtropical highs have shifted toward the equator...
