Chapter 7, Problem 15SC
Summary Introduction
To determine:
Whether the theory that vitamin C prevents or cures colds is well supported by research or not.
Introduction:
Common cold or cough is an infection caused by virus which invades our body. There is no successful medicine against virus so far because the virus has a tendency to change its structure. This way the antibiotic is not effective against it. But when a patient suffers from cold, they are given antibiotics against bacterial infections, so that the patient doesn’t get ill further. Supplements are also given because there is a lot of repair work that continues inside the body.
