Question

Describe the difference between red and violet light

Expert Solution
Introduction

Light or visible light is electric radiation within the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that the human eye can detect. Visible light is generally described as having wavelengths from 400–700 nm or 4.00 × 10−7 to 7.00 × 10−7 m between the infrared and the ultraviolet. Vacuum light speed is a basic physical constant, the currently agreed value of which is precisely 299,792,458 meters per second, or nearly 186,282 miles per second. Electromagnetic radiation of wavelengths can be organized as a radio, microwave, infrared, visible region that we experience as sun, ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma rays.
