Explanation of Solution

Amdahl’s Law:

Amdahl’s law state that the overall speedup of a computer system depends on both the speedup involved in the particular component and also the overall component a system tends to use. It is mainly used in parallel processing in order to find the speedup utilized by multiple processors.

Amdahl’s law can be formulated as:

S=1(1−f)+(f+k)

Where,

S = overall system speedup.

f= fraction of work performed by faster component.

k= speedup of new component.
