Interpretation: The difference between enantiomers and diastereoisomers has to be stated.

Concept introduction: There are two types of stereoisomers,called enantiomers and diastereomers.  The stereoisomers that are not mirror images of each other are called diastereomers.  The enantiomers are the molecules that form non-superimposable mirror images of each other.

Explanation

Stereoisomers are the isomers that possess the same molecular formula and the same structure, but the difference lies in their arrangement in space.  Enantiomers are the type of stereoisomers that form non-superimposable mirror images of each other.  Basically, the left-handed forms and the right-handed forms of a molecule with one chiral centre are called as enantiomers.  On the other hand, diastereomers are the type of stereisomer that are not mirror images of each other...
