- Group II metals are not reactive but they become reactive when reaction occurs at high temperature. Group II elements are Beryllium (Be), Magnesium (Mg), Calcium (Ca), Barium (Ba). Metals react with halides to form metals halides.
Metals reacts with oxygen to form metal oxides.
- When the number of atoms of an element on the product side and on the reactant side are equal then such reaction is said to be a balanced chemical equation.
