Explanation of Solution

Toxic substances are defined as those substances that are poisonous and can cause harmful effects on health. It is either synthesized by humans or introduced in environment by human activities. It also occurs naturally in nature. It enters into the body by several ways causes detrimental effects within the body.

Living room has more chemicals as it contains asbestos which is present on floor and ceiling tiles, benzypyrenes released from smoking, flame retardants, freon’s, furniture and metal polishes, lead and cadmium from toys, paints, fabrics and plastics.

Long-term exposure with asbestos are inhaled and accumulated in the lower regions of lung where it causes fibrotic lung disease and also change in lining of chest cavity. Regular exposure with polishing material and paints causes respiratory problems, cancer and various reproductive disorders.
