To determine

The Period of the current and the Frequency in Hertz.

Answer to Problem 1P

Frequency (f) = 63.66 Hz

Time period (T) =15.7 m/sec

Explanation of Solution

Given Information:

i(t)=5 cos (400t-120°)

In general,  ω is the angular speed - the rate change of angle (as in a circular motion). Frequency is 1/T or the number of periodic oscillations or revolutions during a given time period.

It is known that

ω=2πT

In the given equation of current

ω=400rad/sec

Hence,

400=2πTT=2π400T=15.70×103T=15.70msec

Although,

f=1Tpluggingvaluef=115.70×103f=63.69Hz

Consider the sinusoids x1[n] = 2 sin(πn +2π/3)  ,x2[n] = 3 cos(3πn + 3π/2) −∞ < n < ∞, From their frequencies determine if these signals are periodic, and if so, determine their corresponding periods.
The AC voltage is given by a phasor 3.4 L 57 (where 3.4 is the amplitude and 57 is the phase angle in degrees). The angular frequency omega = 100 1/s. What is the actual time dependence of this voltage (provide the phase angle in degrees)? To answer, fill the blanks: v(t) =____*cos (____*t +____);
