Summary Introduction

Introduction

An experiment to evaluate a new operating system could start with both groups being assigned the same set of tasks to complete. The control group would use computers with a current, common operating system. The experimental group would use the same software, but on computers with the new operating system. Both groups would be told they are evaluating user graphical interfaces and how those influence people at work. Groups would be made of random samples of people of different ability levels with computers.
