Three types of functions are linear functions, quadratic functions and exponential functions.

Equation of linear functions is in the form $y=mx+c$ . Graph of the linear functions are a straight line.

Equation of quadratic functions is in the form $y=a{x}^2+bx+c$ . Graph of the quadratic equation is a U curve on the graph.

Equation of exponential functions is in the form $y=a{b}^x$ . Graph of the exponential equation is an increasing or decreasing curve.
