Built environments are the totality designed by humans, including buildings, free exercise facilities, public park grounds around buildings, safe biking, and walking lanes. Physical activity is becoming a critical mechanism by which built environments can affect chronic disease.
Policies can be laws and corporate practices regulations at any level of government like schools and institute. Characteristics of built environments, from neighborhoods to cities, have belonged to rates of chronic disease and mental retardation and risk factors like obesity and hypertension.
