Temperature scales are majorly of three types: Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.

Explanation of Solution

a) The scale that does not contain negative temperatures.

The temperature scale that does not consist of negative temperatures is the Kelvin scale. The Kelvin scale is a scale that has absolute zero as zero. Water freezes at 273.15 K and boils at 373.15 K on the Kelvin scale. It is an absolute scale which has the same size of degrees as the Kelvin scale.

b) The scale that sets the boiling point of water at 212°.

The temperature scale by which water boils at 212° is the Fahrenheit scale. On the Fahrenheit scale, water freezes at 32°. It is a scale that divides the interval between the boiling and freezing points of water into 180 equal parts
