Standard Cost: An estimated cost which is used for delivering a product under normal condition and it determine the performance of the company is called standard cost. The standard cost is expected cost which can be taken to compare with the actual cost to measure the operating efficiency of the company.

Budget: Budget is the process of identifying, collecting, and summarizing the financial information. Budget plan is used by the managers to coordinate the organization’s future activities. It is a statement which is prepared by the management for a specific period to achieve the goal of management in future. Basically, budget is expressed in the financial terms.

Difference between budgeted and standard costs:

Usually, budget referred as the company’s expected revenues or expenses. Whereas, standard cost referred as the expected amount per unit of input or per unit of output.
