The significance means the difference between statistical measures of two groups is due to systematic influence not due to chance. And inferential statistics are used to estimate statistical measures of the population based on sample characteristics.

Explanation of Solution

Research is based on statistical data and data must be significant to prove the research result meaningful. Significance is used to determine the probability that two (or more) samples were drawn from different populations.

The fundamental question is whether the two groups that are being compared are really from the same population. In that case, any difference between them would just reflect measurement error or whether the two groups actually come from two different populations, in that case the difference between the groups would be genuine.

Significance tells the idea about the outcomes that how much is truthful.
