In the unbalanced equation, number of O atoms in the left hand side is two and in the right hand side it’s three. To balance the number of O in both sides, we place 3 before MnO2 and 2 before Al2 O3. Then number of Mn in left become three. So we place 3 before Mn in right hand side of the equation. Number of Al in right hand side becomes four. So we place 4 before Al
