Summary Introduction

To determine:-

Three health and wellness perks that can be offered to employees at little or no cost by writing a feasibility memo report. The investigation should be done about the benefits of such programs.

Introduction:-

Feasibility reports are reports prepared by presenting the decisions immediately. They analyze a proposal to check whether it will work or not. Feasibility, as the word suggests, is the study as to whether a project or an idea will work, such as ensuring that the work will be financially, socially, technically, or logically feasible.

It’s been said that money is not enough to motivate anyone for long and that people really work for their boss, not the company. If you’ve had experience as an employee, as a manager, or both, then you no doubt have some insight into this statement. If you’ve never been involved in the workplace or business, then consider what you’ve heard from other people about their experiences in the workplace. Have something in mind? Great! Now, consider what the text from Selling Today: Partnering to Create Value 14th Edition by Gerald Manning, Michael Ahearne, and Barry Reece had to say about the leadership skills required of sales managers and especially about how they motivate their sales force. State your insight and the experience you base it on. Then, apply your observation to the world of sales. Would your example/insight motivate or demotivate sales professionals? Why? Last, describe how you believe that sales managers can best motivate their staff.

Explain its potential usefulness to you and describe some of the problems that this tool might be able to solve for you. Explain why you think this tool is important enough that it might potentially nudge out some other topic that was covered in this course.
There is no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all management theory”. What may work for one organization may not be relevant for another. Therefore, when one theory does not fit a particular situation, it is important to explore the option of developing a new theory that would lead in a new, more applicable direction. While some theories can stand the test of time, other theories may grow to be irrelevant and new theories will develop in their place. EXPLAIN.
LIFE SATISFACTION Of course, job satisfaction is important for other reasons as well—reasons that have little to do with job performance or organizational commitment. For example, job satisfaction is strongly related to life satisfaction, or the degree to which employees feel a sense of happiness with their lives. Research shows that job satisfaction is one of the strongest predictors of life satisfaction. Put simply, people feel better about their lives when they feel better about their jobs. This link makes sense when you realize how much of our identity is wrapped up in our jobs. What’s the first question that people ask one another after being introduced? That’s right—“What do you do?” If you feel bad about your answer to that question, it’s hard to feel good about your life. The connection between job satisfaction and life satisfaction also makes sense given how much of our lives are spent at work. Presents the results of one study that examines time spent on daily activities,…
  • Case: You are vice president of a small company that has been chartered by a group of about a dozen main investors. (It’s incorporated, but not publicly held.)   The company does software development for other small businesses. Your boss, the president and CEO of the company, thinks that the company needs to expand and hire more software designers. (She thinks that there is a good opportunity to get qualified people since so many talented software engineers have been put out of work with the bursting of the “dot-com bubble.”) In addition, she thinks it would be a good idea to rent some more office space to house the new people, and to upgrade the company’s main computer system. These strike you as good ideas for growing the business, but there is one problem–the company has neither enough current profits or remaining investment capital to take on these new projects. Fortunately (well, maybe it is fortunate, maybe it is not), there is a meeting of the investors scheduled for next week.…
Becoming an effective leader and business professional requires you to develop a number of skills throughout your career. In this program, you will consider many different business skills—some tangible, and some intangible. And some of those intangible skills, when put into practice, can result in new opportunities for growth and development for yourself, for the organizations where you work, and for others within and outside of your personal and professional community.  Simply put, personal vision goes far beyond traditional goals and objectives. With this definition in mind, respond to the following: the role of personal mastery in your leadership development. Define and present your own personal vision.  Briefly relate your personal vision to your ability to become an agent of change within your organization, your family, or your community.
Your company has just acquired FastFeet, a business that produces the best prosthetic feet on the market. They have been in business for 25 years, and have a very strong reputation for quality, engineering and customer service. The former owners of the business are very likable people, and the corporate culture reflects that – the people are loyal to them, and were willing to work very hard for them. Now that your company has taken over, the culture has become dysfunctional.   You have been tasked with helping the employees of FastFeet become part of the parent company’s culture. They are resisting the change, and the production rate and quality have been slipping. You have whatever resources you need to help them overcome their resistance. What strategy are you going to use, and what are the elements of that strategy – and why?

They have similar levels of experience and have consistently performed well in their respective roles. A higher-level position recently became available, and both Michelle and Carlos are interested in pursuing the promotion. As the department manager, you have developed a friendship outside of work with Michelle. Michelle shares with you her interest in the position and asks for your advice. How would you decide to handle the promotion process while balancing your friendship with Michelle and your professional responsibility to treat all employees fairly? Outline what you would do with a detailed selection process.  Conclude by clearly describing your rationale for how you designed this process.   You are the manager for Superstar Incorporated.  This company has been operating successfully for over a…
Please read the case and answer the questions at the end. Please respond to two of your peers. Do you agree or disagree? State University employs a large number of graduate students to work as teaching assistants. The teaching assistants often complain about their work. They feel that faculty and administrators demand too much. A common complaint is their low wages. The graduate students frequently point out that they do much the same work as faculty members, yet they receive only a very small percentage of the pay that faculty members receive. They also claim that faculty members frequently treat them unfairly. Teaching assistants are often asked to do large amounts of grading in very short time periods. Many also feel that faculty members are not very good at communicating expectations. In response to the dissatisfaction of the teaching assistants, a local union representing public workers has begun efforts to organize a labor union. Union representatives have obtained campaign card…
