Answer to Problem 1TAI

In a balanced chemical equation, the physical states of reactants and products are written in bracket. So, nature of products can be predicted from a chemical equation.

Explanation of Solution

If a gas is produced in a reaction generally it is shown as upward arrow beside the product. A precipitate formation is represented as a downward arrowbeside the product. Whether any product is solid, liquid or gas can be predicted from the chemical equation as these states are generally mentioned in bracket for all reactants and products.

Theoretical yield of all the products can be calculated with the help of a balanced chemical equation.
