While I was there I was able to take a tour of the whole building. Once you walked in the front door you where greeted by beautiful stained glass windows. To the left there is a door that lead to the synagogue itself. Upon walking in I loved an aisle lined with rows of chairs. The aisle let to an alter where the rabbi would stand during service. My aunt and uncle live here in Sioux Falls and they have this forest type of thing in their backyard with hills and trees everywhere you looked. So my aunt, Wendy, let me drive the golf cart since I was a “experienced” driver, and she told me, “Take your cousins with you too, it’ll be fun.” So I did. These hills in her backyard were huge, it almost looked

(24-28) “Ich” is German for “I.” The onomatopoeia and repetition of the word gives the reader the sound of the speaker stuttering, attempting to speak to her father. The reader is able to imagine the speaker’s tongue trapped in a “barb wire snare” unable to open her mouth to produce actual words, which shows the strain in communication
