Employing an instance of self refection, the speaker shifts to a lake and describes the discrepancies between inevitable old age and zealous youth. By means of sight and personification, shifts and metaphors, the orator initiates the change in appearance which relies on an individual’s decision to embrace and reject it.

Vrrrm-brummm-brmmmm! The engine roared like a hungry grizzly bear as I fired up the old blue truck. To a ballerina a mirror represents a sense of alignment with one’s body. To Nina Sawyers, perfecting her technique is important and

After nearly a millennia, I am free, but what have I become? Have I become an angel? I look into the mirror that was showing my reflection. I still looked like a demon. I had sharp talons and pointed fangs. I had long, spiraling horns that became redder as they reached upward. My skin was darker than the night without stars or the moon. My wings were like that of a bat, but they were tattered along the edges. My ruby red eyes were glowing in the barely lit room. I still looked like I used to. Not
