This artifact bookmaking lesson plan was created for my Language Arts for Young Children course. The purpose of the lesson plan was for children to demonstrate their understanding of basic plots of simple stories. The objective was to them to think up their own stories and put them into handmade books. I was able to implement this lesson plan in during my field experience for the advanced observation course. This artifact falls under NAEYC Standard 5c because I used my knowledge of language arts
a love or hate relationship with reading and writing, depending on their upbringing and experiences with each. Our world revolves around college and getting a degree in order to go into the real world to get a job. The real world can be described as paying your own bills and living out on your own. We get a job to make money, which is what most of us love to make. Parents always push their kids at a younger age to start reading so when they get older their reading skills will already be well developed
For example the story reads, “I had to be brave because I was in first grade.” I will ask, “What do you think it means to be brave?” o After I read the story, I will split the students up according to their reading groups. When the groups meet with me we will start our reading game, Roll and Retell. • Main activities (Write the sequential steps of the main activities) o I will start by telling the students we are going to play a fun game about the book, “The Night Before First Grade.”
This week’s reading covers many areas of content reading instruction such as the inferencing, word recognition, explicit instruction in comprehension, strategies to increase comprehension and retention, strategies to partner reading and content routine, and how to love and nurture our students with God’s word. All these areas play a vital role in growing independent readers. Kaylene Beer pointed out several significant areas of reading comprehension that help students increase their fluency. Inferences

View Elementary taught by Mrs. Course. Surrounded by the same people every day waiting in agony to get called out of the classroom. It was thoughtful of the teachers to let me leave almost every day, so I could gain help with reading during the time everyone else was reading with the teacher. Although leaving early every day left me wondering if anyone notices. The teacher walks up to me and says “Shaylee it’s time to go.” After that worry, the other 3rd graders will notice I abandon the classroom

Students should be marking vocabulary, literary techniques, etc. right in the book as they're reading through it, and be prepared to share. Students are not permitted to use their phones as their text during class. PROGRESS REPORTS Next week, 10/18, I will issue an informal report to students highlighting assignments they are missing, and noting
new thing to play with a decent storyline, albeit predictable. Ideas weren’t extremely complicated, but they still added some depth to the characters. As I became obsessed with Pokemon, the discovery of their mangas were another thing to add to my reading list. People may dismiss them as childish and meaningless, but it had good art and entertained easily. The main thing I learned from them was the power of camaraderie. Playing the role-playing-games Bravely Default and Fire Emblem expanded upon those
The Fear Street series has been a favourite of mine since I was in high school. I would read anyone I could get my hands on and I could never get enough. Now that I’m a lot older and maybe too old to be rereading these books but I don’t care. I still love them. Now onto this book. There was the typical group of kids that are all different (popular, nerdy, punk etc) all part of a club. They go for an Overnight (a one night camping trip). Their teacher had to cancel it but they went anyway and didn’t
mother, Kelly Perkins, has been the most influential part in my life of reading with the way she made me when I didn’t exactly want too and taking me to visit libraries and famous authors houses.. This might have to do with the fact that she is an english teacher and has discovered that children who read more typically do better in school. Since reading is her area of expertise she influenced me from a young age to appreciate reading, although that may not have always been the easiest with a stubborn
