EDUC 270 Educational Communication Peer Review Assignment for Lesson 5A: Objectives and Assessment Questions About this Assignment This assignment assesses the objective: At the end of this lesson, you should be able to (given subject matter for a lesson and designated learners) write instructional objectives for that lesson (given objectives for a lesson and designated learners) write assessments that evaluate the extent to which learners achieved those objectives’ This assignment has two parts: 1. First, it asks you to prepare: Objectives for a particular set of concepts and a designated set of learners For each objective, two (2) assessment questions that evaluate the extent to which learners have mastered the objective For each assessment question, come up with some correct and incorrect responses and provide feedback to both o For objective questions, provide feedback to each possible correct and incorrect response o For open questions, provide a rubric or similar tool (like an observation checklist) 2. Second, in the week following your submission of the first part of the assignment, you review the definitions provided by two other students in the class and provide feedback to them. These will be assigned to you by three days following the submission of Part 1. This is the same peer review format as the last two peer review assignments. Part 1: Prepare the Objectives and Related Assessment Questions Prepare objectives and, for each objective, two (2) questions that assess the extent to which learners have mastered the objective Choose ONE of these topics Prepare objectives and review questions to address this content For this group of learners Either : A lesson that teaches students to prepare a personal budget for university and to verify that this budget matches the income that they expect to have Students taking a personal finance class during their last year of high school Or : A lesson that teaches students how to manage their time, such as allocating 2 to 3 hours of work outside of class for each hour of class time, and to start graded assignments at a date that enables them to complete all necessary work in time for the submission date. Students taking a study skills class during their first term at Cégep or university. Note that you might need to conduct additional research to prepare the objectives, assessments, and related questions. Make sure you credit the sources that you check in your assignment appropriately, and additionally, make sure that you handle any text used from those sources properly.
