Black bean contains fiber, folate, vitamin B6 and phytonutrient content together with its lack of cholesterol that can support healthy status of heart and fiber in black bean can reduce amount of cholesterol in the blood and then reduce risk of heart disease. Excessive amounts of homocysteine can damage blood vessels and bring to heart disease. However, vitamin B6 and folate can prevent the building up of homocysteine to reduce chance of heart disease. Secondly, black bean can reduce risk of certain cancer. Ware (2016) points out that selenium in black bean can detoxify compounds that can cause cancer in the body. Selenium can reduce tumor growth rates in order to reduce risk of cancer. Saponins are phytochemicals that can prevent increasing number of cancer cells and extending of these cells around the body. Fiber from black beans can decrease risk of colorectal cancer. Black beans are high in folate that can repair DNA and lead to DNA synthesis. Folate can also prevent construction of cancer cells from mutations in the DNA. Thirdly, high fiber in black bean can be beneficial for blood-glucose level. This research paper and STEM fair project taught me beans are convenient because they can be dried and stored for years. Soaking the beans in water for a few hours softens the dried beans and prepares them for cooking. This process of rehydration of dried beans also occurs in nature. Beans are a form of seed, and they can sprout and grow new plants when they are exposed to water. Beans remain viable for long periods of time if they are kept dry, a feature that allows them to survive in long periods of drought in natural settings. As beans soak in water, their volume and weight increase.
Eating cilantro has been shown in studies to lower total cholesterol and triglycerides, while raising the levels of the good form of cholesterol, HDL, and lowering the bad form of cholesterol, LDL. This is due to the antioxidants in the herb which promote enzymes in the liver. If your senior relative suffers from high cholesterol, adding cilantro to their diet may help.
In grade 6, I completed a film project, which lead/took me on a path of self-discovery. This experience left an indelible mark on how I perceive my identity. Having had such an experience, I believe that others would benefit from this art form and could learn more about themselves in the process. Therefore, I would introduce a filmmaking seminar to SFUHS’s curriculum to challenge creativity, and emphasize the importance of creating well-rounded individuals.
Auditors must inquire whether management has knowledge of any fraud or suspected fraud within the company. SAS 99 also requires auditors to inquire of the audit committee about its views of the risks of fraud and whether the audit committee has knowledge of any fraud or suspected fraud. If the entity has an internal audit function, the auditor should inquire about internal audit’s views of fraud risks and whether they have performed any procedures to identify or detect fraud during the year. SAS 99 further requires the auditor to make inquiries of others within the entity whose duties lie outside the normal financial reporting lines of responsibility about the existence or suspicion of fraud.

Black bean pasta, as the name implies is pasta made from black beans as opposed to flour or wheat. One benefit to utilizing this substitute is that it would provide a gluten-free option, which can both please current patrons who are conscious of their gluten intake and potentially draw new customers who value or require gluten-free options. Another benefit is the high protein content of this substitute. Black bean pasta provides two to three times the protein of flour or wheat pasta for the same amount of calories. This will please the health conscious consumer who wants to feel full, which the protein allows for, without eating a lot of calories. It will also be pleasing to the business as people may consume less if the increased protein makes people feel fuller on less food, thereby, allowing for smaller portions that still satisfy customers and reduce food cost and plate waste in the long run. Also, this would be an attractive option for vegetarians or vegans who need high protein foods to supplement their
Danny Goldberg argues in "The Government Should Not Restrict Media Marketed to Children” that FTC regulation on media is affecting the entertainment industry’s profits on production of violent media content. The specific bill introduced is the Media Marketing Accountability Act of 2001. He believes that there should not be a restriction placed on marketing media to children. Goldberg posits that FTC regulation is a “radical bill” that takes away the power of parents to determine what is appropriate for their children (Goldberg). An additional point the author makes is that many of the restricted media, specifically rap music, is produced by African Americans; therefore, there is a culture bias on these restrictions. Thirdly, Goldberg states that limiting marketing on media to children, specifically
Moreover, a list of foods and the amount of fiber of each food have is provided, as well as lower-fiber foods for evaluation. Chapter 4 mainly stated information about carbohydrates in our food, types of carbohydrates, and how carbohydrates are digested and absorbed. Since companies understand that fiber is an important part of people’s diet, companies have figured out a way to put fiber as a supplement in more types of foods such as yogurt, ice cream, water, and juice. I have seen a lot of new foods in the market stating to have health advantages because of the added fiber. I have purchased and tried out such foods like, Fiber One brownies. It tastes good, it satisfies my chocolate craving, and it’s only 90 calories. However, it has been a while since the last time I bought anything like

I am confident that my creativity, communication, and organization skills will benefit Towson’s residential community. Being creative breaks monotony and can make things interesting for everyone involved. Communications skills are important to have for this position since I will be working with residents and other RAs on a daily basis. Having transferred from two other schools, I have met many people and experienced many different things, which I believe makes me more relatable than just your average person. Being organized and detail-oriented makes working with me simple and reduces stress for everyone. Due to my positive and empathetic personality, I am an easy person to talk to and get along with.
