With the upcoming holiday season I am sure orders for stationary at Rifle Paper Co. has definitely increased. My various positions have made me well-equipped to handle a fast-paced environment while still being able to exceed performance expectations. Specifically, during my time at Subway [Tampa May 2015- August 2015] I was entrusted to solely operate the restaurant during peak lunch times. During these time periods I cleaned the dining area, prep area, and constantly did dishes to keep up with the high volume. Other duties included baking bread and preparing food items all while providing excellent customer service. The responsibilities I had that would be most valuable to Rifle Paper Co. would have to be the counting of inventory quickly and efficiently. The twice daily “counts” provided valued information on the influx of product. At first I had trouble doing the counts accurately but, after some time I was able to perform the counts without any mistakes.

At any point on any of my projects I take the time to check for any errors but, especially before submitting it. Preparing my portfolio for entry into UCF’s Graphic Design Program is a perfect example of when double-checking paid off. There were many requirements for the portfolio that ranged from the the types of projects, size of images, and consistency of the portfolio itself. I had been constantly checking my work but, right before I turned it in I did another check and realized that the page numbers were off. Thankfully I changed them before submitting and I was accepted into the program. It was a valuable lesson and reaffirmed that double checking will always be not only beneficial but, extremely

I’m actually pretty embarrassed about my performance in the practice of the spells we learned today. I actually did fairly well with the Stunning Spell. My partners and I were able to cast it at about the same time. With quick slashes downwards towards our opponents, we kept saying the incantation, Stupefy! We both also were quite adept at dodging the spells, so it took a little while for one of us to knock the other out. In the end, I won that round. It took a lot of focus, but not as much willpower. I was also holding back a bit, because I didn’t necessarily want to knock them out for long, even knowing the Reviving Charm. After getting some help from Professor Silvers to revive my partner, as I hadn’t mastered the Reviving Charm yet and the designated counter caster hadn’t quite gotten it either, we moved onto our practice of the Full
During this week’s assignment, Peterson (2015) tackles critical components of listening skills. The listening component that I find myself needing to work on is that of not defending what I perceive as attacks against my character during my interactions both with co-workers and family. Naturally, if I am devoting my thoughts to responding or defending my actions, how can I be effectively listening? In addition, when counteracting a statement with a defensive posture or verbal cues, it insights the other individual to feel attacked, resulting in a vicious cycle of both parties being defensive and no one listening or understanding one another (Peterson, 2015).
The goal of communications is to make ethics a live, ongoing conversation. If ethics is something that is constantly addressed, referenced frequently in company meetings, and in personal conversations among managers and employees, then people are more aware and more willing to defend the company’s policies when they see or hear of problems. Employees will hold other employees responsible and accountable for living the company’s values.
In monitoring my behavior, I will buy a calendar and a journal and write an X on everyday of the calendar in which I accomplished my scheduled time of sleep. In the journal, I will record what I did wrong on the days I didn’t accomplish the task of sleeping at the scheduled time. I will buy the calendar this weekend and I already have a journal. I will begin this plan at the same time I begin having a timer for my scheduled bed time which is on July 17th. A reward for this intention will be a record of all the calendars I’ve used in reaching this goal, it’ll show how far I’ve come.
I have learned many very important skills from BPBE 272 that I value in my educational career as well as in my future endeavours. Yes, I learned all of the key elements of economics that makes it so important in the world today, but most importantly I learned how to apply all of the economic skills BPBE 272 gave me. This class gifted me with the ability to evaluate the world around me and within my career in an economic mind set. This class really enforced a life long understanding of agricultural economics through the use of teaching styles that require us not to memorize, but to actually learn and hold the information. Throughout, I will explain:
“There are only patterns, patterns on top of patterns, patterns that affect other patterns. Patterns hidden by patterns. Patterns within patterns. If you watch close, history does nothing but repeat itself. What we call chaos is just patterns we haven't recognized. What we call random is just patterns we can't decipher. What we can't understand we call nonsense. What we can't read we call gibberish. There is no free will. There are no variables.(Palahniuk, Charles).” This quote indeed can be implied in our everyday lives, but I think that it is very much relatable to what goes on in our country, our government tactics and even the catastrophes that happened in America. However some would
