Last summer I was taking my silver lab on a walk and a man with his kids were out of their garage and asked me if my dog was a Weimaraner and I said no he is a silver Labrador Retriever. On just one walk, 5 people had asked me if he was a Weimaraner and now every time I take him for walks I always have someone commenting on him. As I take him on more walks and when I always bring him to the dog park more and more people ask me the same question. One person even asked me if he was a blue heeler, they were way off. The silver Labrador Retriever is not a common coat color for a Labrador Retriever. The main coat color for labs are black, chocolate, yellow, and white. Some unfamiliar coat color labs have been red fox, and charcoal. Silver Labrador Retrievers and Weimaraners have some similarities and differences. Their similarities are their coat color and how they both look like a Labrador Retriever. A large dog can look intimidating to any stranger, which isn’t bad. Once the dog is comfortable or acquainted with the stranger, the person will then be comfortable and notice the lovable and sweet side of the dog. They will be able to get along with other dogs and especially with unfamiliar dogs. The larger dog will also be able to protect and love the family and children with the comfort of knowing your children are not in any harms way. Yet, with a small dog, they can look cute and adorable to the eye, but have a temper of a ticking time bomb. They are not intimidating to strangers, which gives them the leeway of attacking the stranger to show protection. They can have a temper that can make the owner worried for the safety of their children. The small dogs can make the owner feel worried about them around other dogs, which could lead to fights, that could cause damage to anyone. I would personally rather have a large dog than a small dog any day. Especially, after the statistics that I have found and read about. If the owner wants more reassurance for the safety and the reliability of the temperament of their dog, the large dog wins by
