9/11 Short Stories

I walked to it and tried prying it from the ground with my fingers. A twig broke behind me and I jumped and spun around. It was dark now and the only light was from the full moon. I had a bad feeling start to pump through me. I turned and ran trying to evacuate the danger I felt nearby. I ran through brush that looked like claws trying to grab my ankles. And as tree limbs came down snatching at my skin I tripped and fell. I saw a tree nearby that looked welcoming and I tried to use it as cover. Black wings busted through the trees and run started echoing around me in a croaked out a raspy breath.

She ran as fast as her feet could take her. The moonlight weaved in and out of the branches illuminating spots she could reach. She did not dare to turn back to look over her shoulder because she knew it is how the killer always got the victim. Her white slip teared when it got snagged against a branch. Her fingers gripped the silk material and held it together by the tattered seams. She quickly began her escape once more and found a clearing from the icy branches.

The man led all of the people to a storage room and made everyone sit down. Then the man pulled out what looked like C4. A few people instantly gasped, which confirmed my guess. Then they all left us in the room. It had been about 5 minutes of silence when finally we heard a large BOOM! Everyone sat in the room silent. Then about 25 S.W.A.T. and other officers flooded in the room. We were safe! But how? Why did the men leave us safe? Then one of the police shouted,

James just sits at the bar drinking his regular whisky with a few ice cubes drinking his problems away. James lives in a broken down apartment in Harlem, New York trying to provide for his family. James can barely reach his wallet and drop a twenty on the bar. He starts walking back to his miserable life while moving side to side drunk. James fell a couple times and one last time in front of his apartment and he hears screaming in the room he was about to walk into. It’s Natalie yelling at the kids to keep their grades up and help around the house. James listens for a little while and walks in trying his hardest not to collapse.

I. Forced to wear a dress at a formal event that Hyesun had dragged her to, she was stunning. The truck passes through the toll booth and accuses them for slowing him down, but the workers assure him that nothing is wrong, and that the area is just being sanitized as there was a small leak at a nearby nuclear plant. As he passes the toll booth, he is distracted by his ringing phone and accidentally runs over a deer. After inspecting the scene, he gets back in his truck and drives off. However, the deer staggers to its feet despite the crash and turns

Audra paced Carlton’s bedchamber that evening. She had intended to tell him about her pregnancy the moment she returned to the castle that morning, but lost her nerve. Though he Carlton would have no reason to doubt the child she carried was his, declaring it to be so out loud, terrified her. This was the true beginning of a lifetime of lies and deceit. In her mind, the ends justified the means, but that did not make this all any easier.

It has only been males born into the family. Android 17 wasn't mad about that, but sometimes he thought he would like to hear a girl running around the house, shouting'' where's daddy, or having random moments dressing his daughter in dresses when she's older. Of course he would buy her a doll and imagine having fake tea with his daughter when they will sip fake tea from princess cups.

"We'll save their asses one day. Then they'll be grateful." His datapad chirped, and he reached around to unhook it from his belt right as the ship dropped out of hyperspace. It was a message from Synmari: We need to talk, call me back as soon as you can. S.

Foster, pulled the pin on his grenade with his teeth, counted to three, and lobbed the explosive in the first sniper's general direction. Moments later, hell opened up, and dragged the 'Cong bastard into its depths.

The loud noise of the gun took over my body at that exact moment, my knees begin to buckle, my legs give in and I lose all sense of control. Gravity pushes at my fragile and weak shoulders until I collapse like a rag doll onto the cold, rough gravel surrounded by autumn leaves tattooing my bare, bruised legs. For a moment all I can hear is the eco in each breath I take run through my whole body, short breath after short breath … I slow it down. My vision blurred with tear-filled eyes, I look over my shoulder. It’s out to get me.

“One step closer and you lose the hand,” she warned the imposter. “Gideon,” she started, “let the crew know we have a stowaway.” She glared at the man standing before her, hating every ounce of his being for dishonoring the memory of the man he looked to be.

A metallic clank echoes through the cabin. The emergency door swings open with the force of a hurricane and the other hostage-taker enters the cabin. A flash of light and sound envelopes the senses of everybody in the cabin and with that flash the second hostage taker die s/ed. The doom and regret that had previously shrouded his thinking was now replaced with burning anger and undying rage. Turning back to the shorter one he grabbed a piece of shattered glass from the cabin window and exploded with the force of a thousand suns into the man's neck. Visciously lacerating his jugular vein and squirting blood on him along with many of the horrified passengers looking on in horror. The warm crimson tidal waves soaked his modest clothes. Falling to his knees and allowing the blood of the American man to run down his body, he felt the cold metallic ring of the rifle muzzle press against the back of his neck. "Don't move" the American orders, with his voice portraying both his fiery rage as well the despair of losing a close friend. The assailant didn't attempt to resist as he knew it would be in vain, the only movement he made was subtly, but very, very carefully placing his hand in his pocket and pressing a

“Then let’s not wait to see,” said Cipher. “Second Commander, ready the men. It’s time to return to Rosemore.”

“You’ve caused me quite a bit of trouble now, mercenary. You disabled my jammer, and we heard your little cry for help. This was supposed to be a covert operation and you’ve dismantled my plan.” Tairei explained with a bitter distaste in her voice.
