911 Days Later “If you need emergency assistance, dial 911 immediately,” this statement is one engrained in every American from the time of birth to adulthood. 911 is known as the universal number to call when someone is in danger, it is the ultimate call for help. The number 911 also holds a deeper meaning consumed by sickening irony brought upon America by the terrorist group known as “Al Queda.” 911 is not just known for being the number to dial in an emergent situation, it is also remembered for being the day that the largest terror attack on U.S. soil took place, September 11, 2001. But that attack was not enough for the Al Queda terrorist group, 911 days later they struck again, with bombings of four trains in Madrid on March 11, 2004.
What, not who, is to be blamed for 9/11? It’s very clear that the primary cause of 9/11 was the planes, hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists, crashing into the buildings. However, it’s also commonly known that the twin towers stood for a memorable a hundred and two minutes before crashing down from the view the manhattan skyline. So how were so many lives lost when there was so much time to escape the buildings? Many have searched for answers, and have come to conspiratorial conclusions, biased and without relatable evidence. However after reviewing the information on the attacks, one thesis stands above the rest of them; the lack of communication was responsible for the greatest loss of life. Though there are many other great points to be made

The survivors of September 9, 2001 will never be the same. While they may be emotionally scarred from the traumatic event, physical scars will also remain on their body. Bruno Dillinger describes that many evacuators lacked skin and hair, and that many evacuators were severely burnt. Despite all the mayhem and chaos, the people in the stairwell kept their wits with them. They did not panic; they were calm. Bruno Dillinger’s description of the first responders walking up the stairs was heartbreaking. He commented, “They were going up to their death. And I was walking down to live.” Despite the fear the firefighters and other responders felt, they rose to the occasion in order to save the lives of many others. The bravery the firefighters and
The 9/11 Memorial has about 300,000 people visit it each year, you should be one of them to. If you go to New York the 9/11 Memorial is becoming one of the top tourist attractions in the city, and I can’t see why it's not at the top already. The 9/11 Memorial is a beautiful pool with gushing water running down its sides, and within the pool there is a smaller square pool that still has water running down to it. Just to top it off, it has trees that surround the pools, just imagine it when it’s in the fall and all the leaves turn colors and the leaves may float down and into the pool. The best part about visiting the 9/11 Memorial is that it is free! You should be one of the 300,000 a year.

An event such as 9/11 was bound to occur at some point and time, due to the United States’ strained relationship with the Middle East, with roots back to the year 1910. However, it wasn’t until the Gulf War in 1991, when tensions began to run high. The Gulf War began due to an Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who ordered an invasion of Kuwait. Neighbouring countries were alarmed by the news and immediately asked for Western nations to intervene, fearing Hussein would continue to feed his power hunger and advance to other Arabian countries. Finally after forty two days at war, his troops surrendered. From this moment on, the events leading up to the attack on 9/11 snowballed. This is evidenced by, “After the Gulf War ended in 1991, the United
September 11, 2001 is one of the most infamous dates in American history. On this day, 19 radicalized Islamic militants hijacked four United States-based airplanes. Two of the planes were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Thousands of first responders, occupants of the Towers and bystanders were killed or injured. The third plane flew into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and 125 people were killed. The passengers on the fourth plane revolted and forced the hijackers to crash into a field in Stony Creek, Pennsylvania. A total of 3,000 people were killed and over 6,000 were injured that day (“9/11 Attacks” 1). After the most detrimental terrorist attack in the history of the United States, action needed to

On September 11, 2001, the terror attacks that struck upon the American people etched a wound so deep that will take years to repair. The whole world watched and mourned as 2,977 innocent lives were taken mercilessly away by the clutches of vile people. The group responsible for these attacks had malicious intent and animosity toward the people of the free world. They took their accumulated hatred and attacked the American people. The way the American people responded was not what the terrorist group had expected.Instead of cowering in fear from the attacks as presumed, the American people began to display more patriotism and exhibit a sense of unity. While 9/11 is a day we remember the innocent lives lost to terrorism and the new sense of togetherness it founded, it is also a day that birth the term Islamophobia and gave rise to mistaken-identity hate crimes.
It would seem there would be some exceptions which would have been considered out of bounds, well, not really though. The 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan is an educational and historical institution honoring the victims and examining 9/11 and its continued global significance.
After the 15th anniversary of 9/11, America comes together to commemorate those we have lost and the sadness and tragedy that comes along with that day. A common phrase that comes along with 9/11 is that it is a day that has changed our lives forever. But what exactly has changed?
Many people believe that the story behind 9/11 isn't necessarily true, they actually think that the owner of the twin towers planned the whole thing. At first glance it may seem like it was a terrorist attack. This initial perception fails to take in the account of the benefits the owner will receive. If people continue to believe that 9/11 was a terrorist attack, the owner of the twin towers also known as Larry Silverstein will get away causing one of America's greatest tragedies. The owner of the Twin Towers planned the 9/11 terrorists attack to get money because of the insurance claim, he missed work, and right before became a new owner.

The man behind these attacks was a Saudi Arabian man named Osama bin Laden. These attacks caused mass panic throughout the world, but it also increased patriotism throughout the United States. It also is what got us into the Global War on Terror.
