I have been working on my academic career for many years now. I am currently in my third year of community college, and have come across multiple teachers who have helped and inspired me in many ways. A teacher not only teaches the content of their course, but life skills as well. They are kind, caring, considerate, and understanding of their students. A teacher who goes above and beyond for their students is one that will make a difference. One teacher who I believe has made all the difference to me, was my accounting professor.
As a full time faculty member, CPA, graduate student, mother, wife, teacher, and friend; Mrs. Wiest wears many hats. She juggles everything within 24 hours and does her best regardless of the workload. Although she is extremely busy, she makes time for her students because she understands that things can be difficult, and she is willing to help them to the best of her ability. I speak from personal experience. I started my spring semester doing well, then I became extremely sick. After visiting the doctors, I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, two ear infections, and a sinus

Wiest took the time to listen to my troubles and work with me outside of class. She even invited me to come drink tea in her office if I needed a break or was not feeling well. But more importantly, she helped me put everything into perspective and I made some tough decisions. I cut down on my work hours, took a few months off from orchestra, took less volunteer opportunities, and learned to prioritize my responsibilities. Mrs. Wiest also helped me with my work when I was falling behind and let me take her finals at different times to balance my work load. I panicked when everything got difficult, but she supported me. If any teacher has made an impact on me during my academic career, it was certainly Mrs. Wiest. She goes above and beyond for her students and wants everyone to succeed. With her help, I was able to succeed during a very rough

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to do two things with my career, and that is to travel and to meet as many new people I can. In becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, those cravings can transform into my own reality. Becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR) has been on my radar for quite sometime. Furthermore, It is going to be vital for me to advance my education and receive a college degree. It is an absolute necessity to comprehend the learning and training requirements, skills or talents required, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when beginning your future.
I never thought anything like this would happen. How could it happen? Why did it have to be my best friend. I just didn’t understand or get why it was happening because there had never been any signs of it. Why cancer?
My 1st career is Nurse, I want to be Nurse because I want to take care my family and every one. In my family we need a Nurse, Doctor, and other career that can take care them when some thing happen to them. they need some one to take care of them
Do you remember a time when you were young, maybe around first grade? The teacher asked everyone what they wanted to be when they grow up. Some children said they wanted to be doctors or firefighters or even an astronaut. I said I wanted to help others learn; I wanted to be a teacher. Going into my journey of senior year, my life has changed; however, my career path has not. I want to help children learn, to become the best they can be. Children, in my opinion, are the greatest assets that are in this world. In the teaching/education class offered by Four Rivers Career Options, I will understand more to be prepared with what will be expected in this career choice. After completing the experience of Four Rivers I will attend college and be ready to teach elementary kids. This will be the start of my career path.
The field I have chosen to study in college is psychology. In particular, I wish to obtain a PhD in clinical psychology. For the most part, psychologists study how humans interact with others and the processes of the mind by analyzing and taking notes on the behavior of the client and how they interact with the world around them (“Psychologists”). I chose this career, because I’ve always loved listening to people and understanding why people do the things they do. Also, I’ve always had a strong desire to help others lead easier lives and give them the tools to deal with their personal problems and life. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
Graduating from high school is vital for many different reasons, one of them being that it dictates the foundation of your entire future. Given that I am only in high school, I still have to take my future into my own hands, beginning with my pursuit to becoming an Obstetrician/ Gynecologist (OB/GYN). An “OB/GYN helps women with pregnancy, childbirth, general care and women with diseases in the reproductive system” (“Summary”). I chose this career because I want to make miracles happen and bring life into this world. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills and talents needed, salary and benefits offered and the duties for this particular career in making this decision.
One of the influential people that made a huge impact in my life is my college professor who told me to never settle for less. She encouraged me to push the envelope and attempt to do things that are out-of-the-box. Her credentials and accomplishment in teaching is, for lack of a better word, overwhelming. She is strict, but fair. She saw my potential in teaching and told me that being a great teacher requires 4C's and 1P: competence, compassion, character, commitment, and passion. These are the things that remember by heart. Every time someone asks me who is my role model in teaching, I would always tell them that Mrs. Edith L. Ortega is the person I look up to up to this time. Even though she is nearing retirement, she still managed to keep
Introduction- For my research paper I hope to see some amazing opportunities for me that way I can start looking at the perfect college for me to go to and maybe start saving up for it. I hope to accomplish these goals in life so that way I could be successful in life and hopefully be a big influence on some people.
J.K. Rowling once said, “Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power to that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared” (“J. K. Rowling Quotes."). I want to be a writer. A writer is a person who is a fountain of imagination and innovation. A writer is a creator of worlds, a spinner of new realities and master of creativity. When I was younger, I would often spend hours sitting up in trees, my feet dangling and swinging lightly to an unknown rhythm; I would listen as the outside world seemingly stood still. My younger sister would always be a few branches away, and she would plead for stories. I spun worlds of monsters and heroes, worlds full of love and magic and insanity. I would become immersed in my stories as my listeners, and started jotting down concepts that would come to me during a dull day. Once, I had a journal full of oddball ideas and intrepid adventures. I adore my gift, and it’s inspired me to become a professional writer so I can give my ideas a new life, and become real.
Has someone ever made you feel welcome, taught you life lessons that would be helpful to your upcoming life, or someone that taught you something in a fun way so you actually liked learning? Someone like a teacher? A teacher is a person in our life who provides many important things including a good education. A teacher means a lot to his or her students. During the six hours a day during the 5 day a week can really impact a student's life. And I can only think of one teacher that really impacted my life- Mr. Miller.
I have lived in three different countries so far and have attended six different schools. I was born in Chicago, then moved to Jordan for four years, then England for another year, and finally came back to Chicago where I currently reside. The experiences I made with different, diverse cultural groups are very interesting to me. Ever since I was young I was aspired to help people by making my family's life and other people's lives better too. I have learned so much from all of my different teachers and different types of schooling I have attended. The knack for learning is in me ever since I attended my first day of school. My dad told me I should always sit in the front of the classroom and if I ever needed any assistance I should always ask
Career practicum has to be the most beneficial class i've taken in high school. We've done so much in class talking about how to get jobs, customer management, and most important how to pay taxes. But getting to go to the fire department has to be the best thing, at the fire department i have been able to decide what i'm going to do with my life. I would however only suggest this job site for student that have a drive to work and will do anything it takes to become a firefighter/ first responder. There is a lot of down time at the fire department, so i'll take advantage of that to get school work done or read FFA (firefighter association) textbooks so i'll be better prepared for when i go to tech school. Over all this class and my job site
My world is not that difficult. I have always known that doing my best in school is important, but for the longest time I did not think it would elapse so quickly. My father, mother, and sister all have found careers that they are fond of, while on the other hand, I have family members that work 12 hour shifts on a Monday through Saturday basis. That way of life is appropriate, but i know it is not something they enjoy. Therefore, my father constantly pushes me toward having careers in mind that I may have a passion for. I thank him for simply helping me find my interest, whether it'd range from sports to careers. He has also influenced and taught me to never be afraid to explore and endeavor in new experiences.
Teachers are amazing to have, they can help you out with mostly anything you need. In certain ways they are all different no matter if they are just "teachers" they are just like super heroes people watch in movies. Although there will be many teachers in my life and other students there will always be that one teacher who makes a spark within a student. Although I may had many close friendships the one that I personally favor the most is Mrs. Jones. Most teachers have the aspect of kind, caring, respectful, or supposed to have these average aspects of a teacher. Mrs. Jones takes is further than any teacher I could ever remember could. From just taking certain aspects like these and expressing it every single day is a miracle.
