Poseidon is the son of Cronus and Rhea and is the god of the Sea. He had 2 brothers. Zeus and Hades.
He was almost always holding his weapon, the trident, which is often used by humans as a fishing spear and he had the power to create earthquakes,floods,hurricanes,and most of the natural disasters that happens on Earth.Myths also were connected to religion and explains how life began, where to get the best advice,how humans came to be, and how they worship the gods back then.

Cronus was a Titan god. He was also the god of time & ages. Rhea was the god of generation. One day, Cronus voraciously devoured Poseidon, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Hestia.Rhea took Zeus(as a baby) to a safe place to stay away from his cruel father. Later,Zeus then tricked his father Cronus to drink something that would make him vomit Zeus’ 5 siblings. Cronus then vomited the children out of his stomach. This somehow led to the Olympians against the Titans war. This war was a straight 10 years! The Olympians won and the Titans were thrown in the pit of Tartarus. Poseidon was married to a sea nymph Amphitrite and they had 7 children their names were Theseus, Triton (Amphitrite produced a triton which is half-human and half-fish), Polyphemus, Belus, Ahenor, Neleus and Atlas. He was also farther of Charybdis who was a sea monster who attacked ships.
