The English people, travelled across the ocean to get to a new land that they called America. They travelled and claimed the land that they wanted, they settled in, they succeeded from their home country, had a revolution,

America was founded after we declared independence from England. There were many reasons why we left england but the major issue was that we had no representation in the government. We felt our natural rights of liberty was being violated by our government so we declared independence so that we could make our own country. When the founding fathers wrote the Constitution, they made sure that the government was there to protect our natural rights and that they had no power to deny us of those rights. This idea of the government protecting those rights created by John Locke during the Enlightenment. This idea had a major role in why we left england and how we formed our country.

It all started after the Declaration of Independence during the time America was busy fighting the Revolutionary War, when Congress realized that they needed to form a plan to move forward and unite the thirteen states as a nation.

Many people believe believed throughout history that the beginning of North America’s inhabitance was when Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic Ocean in the year 1492. They believed that he is the person who discovered America where in fact it was the Native Americans who made the initial discovery. Therefore, Columbus’s mission is considered more of a journey. One of the motivators behind the voyage was to move away from Britain and begin a new life in what was to them, land of potential opportunity.

During the 17th and 18th century, many European countries were exploring, and at some point end up in the North America, later known as the New World. They were a total of 13 colonies each with their specific rules and traditions. Each different to the next, but most were looking for something that couldn 't be in their home country, so they came here to find it.

The United States was started as thirteen colonies that were originated from settlers who decided that they wanted religious freedom instead of being forced to remain a menial outsider to the large European religions. These territories eventually banded together and via the Treaty of Paris -1873- retained their independence from Europe and were finally recognized by several European countries that had

When America was first started it was a country of many new beginnings for the people that lived there and their ideas they created. A lot of countries at the time were ruled by a person in a crown but many of the colonists that lived here no longer wanted to be ruled by King George the third in England. So the 13 colonies came together to declare their independence and start what is known today as America. One of America’s first leaders was General George Washington. He and a few other generals called for a national flag to be made to unify their armies. So in 1777 the American flag was adopted by the first American Congress members.

In the 1700s it is unknown to who has found, what is now the United States of America. Overall, the search to define who found the United States is still ongoing I presume. This research is not on the circumscribe of the United States, but of Delaware the first state.

In 1776, America had gained independence from Great Britain, all thanks to general and leader of the war, George Washington. In 1789, Thomas Jefferson wrote up the Constitution of the United States, which set the basis for rights and government structure of the country, with a president at the top. George Washington was elected as the first president unanimously.

On September 3, 1783 in Paris, France, not only was a war won and over, but the American colonies gained independence. What were they going to do? What was their next step? The 13 colonies were free to join together and create a country. They could create their own government and write their own laws. The American colonies joined together to become the first 13 states in the United States of America and a new nation was born.

Thomas Paine’s Influence on the American Revolution Despite many peoples’ current beliefs that the thirteen colonies should go to war, in the 1770’s it was unthought of, and repudiated by numerous people living in what would soon be the United States. One famous person that went against what a majority of the people thought was Thomas Paine. Paine undermined the king in his pamphlets Common Sense, which was the primary influence on the Americans’ decision to go to war. Thomas Paine was born on January 29, 1737 in Norfolk, England.

America was first discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, while he was searching for a new trade route to India. Leif Erickson was the first European to visit the new world before Christopher Columbus was born, however he wasn’t recognized as the discoverer of the new world. John Cabot reached the coast of America in 1497 and he thought that North America was China, like Columbus, so he claimed the land for England. The American Revolution was a political disruption that took place between 1765 and 1783 which colonists in the thirteen American colonies rejected the British monarchy and defeated Great Britain and created the United States of America. The declaration of independence, for the thirteen colonies, on July fourth 1776.

Freedom at its start in America came from the pressure to leave England. To escape the bonds of an unjust King colonist sailed the Atlantic hoping to find a new home. During that time in England, many British citizens were facing religious and social persecution. This is what prompted the movement to establish the colonies in America. The colonists were free to set up a new world in their own image. However, the colonists were still under unjust rule even though being an ocean away from their homeland. Upset with their freedom being restricted the 13 colonies banded together to declare their independence to escape confinement from British imperial rule. After winning the revolutionary war and gaining one step of freedom from England it was time to set up a new kind of government.
