Amusement parks are always a must for those hot, summer days. People want to enjoy their time riding all sorts of thrilling roller coasters and frightening rides. Amusement parks like Lake Winnie and Six Flags are great options to choose from, but sometimes that can be a difficult decision. For families determining whether to go to Lake Winnie or Six Flags, one must consider the differences in the roller coasters, water parks, and food options. Both Lake Winnie and Six Flags have different selections of roller coasters. Lake Winnie is known for its variety of family and thrill rides, but not for its roller coaster as it only has one in the entire park. Therefore, the best option for someone that despises coasters is to go to Lake Winnie. If
Columbus Zoo also has a 22-acre water park known as Zoombezi Bay. This water park is its own section that’s attached to the zoo. This water park has slides and pools for small children, as well as adult thrill-seekers. There are 2 wave pools, a lazy river, 17 water slides, an adult only river where you can drink alcoholic beverages and relax, and several other different water rides. After you walk around the zoo on a hot day, you’re ready to run into the nearest pool. I’m not big on heights, or thrill but still love to have fun and there were several slides, raft rides, and things to do that I had a great time. As well as my wife and 2 boys. My favorite water slide is a two-person raft, where you’re riding in a tunnel and you come out into a bowl that takes you around an around. This was the one ride that I didn’t mind waiting in line for. Unfortunately, Detroit Zoo doesn’t offer anything like Zoombezi Bay, so on a hot summer
Travel to the south-central region of Wisconsin and you come upon a city that’s known as the water park capital of the world. This is none other than Wisconsin Dells. It sits in four counties, Adams, Columbia, Juneau, and Sauk. The city borrows its name from the 5-mile gorge on the Wisconsin River, The Dells of the Wisconsin River. This stunning feature formed from sandstone is the jewel in this area. Wisconsin Dells comes alive during summer with visitors coming to indulge in its thrilling theme parks. Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park is one popular destination here. It has rides like the Hades 360 Rollercoaster or the Poseidon’s Rage. For nature lovers, visit the picturesque Mirror Lake State Park, a vast forested park with hiking trails
Six Flags contains rides for kids and adults. My family and I decided to go here. When we got to Six Flags, all you could hear were people screaming and yelling on the rides. That just made you want to go on the rides more. Some of the rides in Six Flags are Acrophobia, Batman, Dare Devil Dive, Georgia Cyclone, Georgia Scorcher, Goliath, Gotham City Crime Wave, Great American Scream Machine, and Mindbender. We went on only some of the rides, because the lines were very long and it was also very hot. We also went to Hurricane Harbor. It is located inside of Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor has a giant wave pool inside. It also has water slides that are closed. The waterslides are called Bonzai Pipelines. It also has something that is called the Tsunami Surge. In this water ride, you sit with three other people in a tube. This ride will spin you 360 degrees. Inside there is also the Paradise Island. The Paradise Island is a playground that has water blasters, climbing nets, and waterslides. If you are in the mood to get drenched, you can go under the enormous bucket of water and when it is full it tips all the way over leaving you all wet. It started to get late, so we decided to start heading to the parking lot. Overall, I had an amazing day at Six Flags over
I got to go to Six Flags in the summer with my parents. I loved all of the rides in Six Flags except for roller coasters. Why don’t I like roller coasters? Well, the main reasons why I don’t like roller coasters was that I am scared of heights. I remember seeing the roller coasters and they towered up so high. My family and I went to Six Flags together because we thought that it would be fun to spend time with each other.

The thing that I miss most about summer is King's island. I had a pass so I could go when I wanted to and it was always a fun time. It is a good time to hang out with friends and go on rides. My favorite ride there is the beast because it isn’t too bumpy and it has a ton of sharp turns and caves. It also is slightly scary with all of the fake warning signs. The food at Kings Island is also decent so I wouldn’t have to go get lunch. If I get tired of the rides then I can go on the water rides and the wave pool. The water rides don’t usually have the longest of lines if you get there early but if not then they are worth it. My favorite overall is the Tropical Plunge. This ride has the drop shoot, You stand in a vertical tube and you wait for the countdown and the floor drops underneath your feet. You then shoot down the tube and you make it to the end. All of these factors make Kings Island a very fun place, and the thing that I miss the most from summer.
A good and fun amusement park to go to is the Comden Park. It opened in 1903. It has water slides, roller coasters and rides. All of the rides have names, Lil’ Dipper, Log flume, flying scooters, Big Dipper, and Paratrooper and it has a haunted house. You can rent a hotel if you want to stay the night. It has a place where you and your family can hang out and have a picnic. They have good food and rides. You should go there sometime with your friends and family to have fun and see some other cool stuff.
Louis each have an amusement park within their metropolitan areas. Six Flags, which refers to itself as “Missouri’s Coaster Capital,” is located in the St. Louis suburb of Eureka. Worlds of Fun, a very similar amusement park is located in Kansas City. Some may argue that Worlds of Fun is better than Six Flags, on account of its lower admission price. On the other hand, Six Flags features seventeen “thrill rides,” and claims to have the “fastest, tallest, wildest, gut-wrenchingest rides in the country-including a few record-breakers” (Sixflags.com).
One such activity is the immense and thrill evoking Six Flags St. Louis. Six Flags is a giant theme park that allows customers to enjoy roller coasters, ferris wheels, food, drinks, and games. The park has rides that can accommodate any type of interest in rides a person may exhibit. These rides can range from thrilling, adrenaline producing, joy rides to nice, calm, smooth rides that can really make you feel at peace with the world. Our Trip - The park is large, fun, very crowded, and quite expensive, especially to eat with a family. The lines are long and sometimes it is difficult to stand in the sun. Still, it is far less expensive than traveling to Disneyworld or Disneyland, and there are more roller coasters in Cedar Point anyway. The beauty of the park is that it is set up for all ages; there are rides and events for preschoolers, young children, adolescents, older children, and the child in every adult. It is definitely a middle to upper middle-class park,
