Painting the Beta Bridge is a tradition at University of Virginia, and It’s been going on for years. It’s commonly known for It’s creative images people paint to share info with the community. If I had an opportunity to design the bridge I would paint diverse people holding hands in a heart shape figure around a globe that’s broken up into colorful pieces ; from one end of the wall, to the other end of the wall. I would put the logos of all the organizations, non-profit clubs, and volunteering programs in the background. This way I can advertise to people how they can get involved with their community. Each part of the painting will symbolize something important, that will contribute to the painting as a whole. Also I would laminate the bridge with biodegradable paint, so It doesn’t harm the environment.
I will

The puzzle piece will match the color of the problem in the world they are most concerned with. Written on it will be what they think the biggest issue of the world is and how they can provide help towards it. With them standing around the globe in a heart shape, another message It’s giving off is that we all see that the world is not perfect and these people are not oblivious to the problems that are going on. In some way shape or form it affects them. They each have a puzzle piece to help with the concerns they have of the world. It’s entitled that if everyone did their part it can solve the bigger picture, which is the world and it’s troubles. I want to give off this image of people working together as a team, to better the community around them, and future generations. I will use bright colors in my painting, so it can give off a strong positive impression to brighten someone’s day, and also be seen in the night time. It would be to show that there is more to life then cruelty, and death casualties in the
In this article titled “Analyzing Arguments: Those You Read and Those You Write” goes over multiple strategies and examples to help you analyze the meaning and purpose of a specific argument and how to strengthen your own.
The Quinnipiac University poll was done during early September to test the waters before the first presidential debate between Clinton and Trump. The sample size was roughly 960, supposedly voters from across the nation with a margin of error of +- 3.2 which isn’t horrible. The numbers look fine and because it was a nationwide poll, the possibility of getting a fair and accurate cross section of views is fairly high, that being said there are a few issues with this poll that cause me to be concerned with the accuracy of this poll for many reasons.
Mr Campbell Newman was a popular lord mayor as a member of the Liberal Party, who served the Queensland government for three years from 2012 – 2015 (Lewis, 2015). In the recent 2015 Queensland state election, Newman was heavily punished by the public voters of Queensland as a result of treating the public servants unfairly by cutting jobs in contrast to his promises. He also claimed that there would be no forced redundancies and that he would try to lower the unemployment rate, yet these promises were never met. In support of this, the following essay argues that Campbell Newman didn’t interfere with the free market economy of Queensland, which can be beneficial for consumers in many ways because there is no government intervention. Instead,
Yes. The author gives many moral reasons why he believes an invasion on Iraq would be wrong.
Through understanding the errors, I made in Writing Assignment #3 (WA #3) I was able to edit and better understand what corrections was needed for Writing Assignment #4 (WA #4) to become a well thought out paper. For WA #3 I received a B+ because of the lack of further development in my argument, which made the voice in the argument, the context behind sources and the thesis weaker.
During the "Get tough" era and the "war on Drugs" era of the late 1970's through the early 1990's, the rise of women offenders that were incarcerated was nothing short of meteoric. In 1979, one in 10 women in prison was doing time for drugs. Today, drug offenders account for more than a third of the female prison population (37.4 percent).( Chesney-Lind 1998) Therefore, the population of women being convicted of these crimes are women who would not have been incarcerated anyway (Dr. Wendy Williams personal communication 2018).
The main assertion of this entire essay is that people will treat you differently and judge you based on your ability to speak english fluently, and because of this peoples lives can be changed.
Additionally, for example, if a Catholic student were not able to have meat on Friday, the school should provide many options.
The name of my project is “The Peace Arch”. I named my project this because my branches form an arch and it looks very simple and peaceful. I chose the bowl because I wanted a shallow bowl that didn't take any attention away from my flowers and leaves. I chose to fill my bowl with rocks instead of Styrofoam because I thought it would look earthy and natural. I chose my flowers because they were different shades of pink and they came with different sizes and length of branches. I also chose my flowers because they look like cherry blossoms. My project represents peace and love. The rocks and the simpleness of the project represents peace and the pink flowers represent the love. I placed my branches and my flowers on opposite sides of my bowl

Instead of taking to painting the Beta Bridge myself, I would be considerate of my classmates and slip an art student a $20 to paint the bridge for me. It’s not necessary that my half-legible cursive scrawl be enlarged for all to see.
Within the pro-choice world there are many issues that are discussed like abortion, the instant where life begins and the use of contraceptives. This article will focus on not only the issue of using of contraceptives, but specifically the distribution of oral contraceptives (“the pill”) to teenage girls without their parent’s consent.
On my board there is an imperfect heart which is a symbol of the amazing art of Maya Geofman and how she has had such an influence on the way artists around the world look at art that is not ordinary or traditional. Maya creates her art with bold and vibrant colors and meanings. She has influenced not only Israel but the USA, Canada, Germany, France and many more countries. To her this is not only a hobby but a way of life. There are also Band-Aids on my board which is a symbol of Dede’s art because is most famous
Public art has a way of bringing communities together and starting conversations. This semester I am working with Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA), which is a nonprofit arts group that creates murals and other forms of art throughout the various communities of Dane County. DAMA is a public and community art program that train local artists to become community artists to create murals that beautify neighborhoods, bring people together, and “make a difference in the lives of youth.” The leaders of the program collaborate with communities to encourage students to become agents of change by developing projects that physically and socially benefits communities.
