Marijuana, scientific name: Cannabis Sativa, is pertained to as dried: flowers, stems, seeds and leaves of the hemp plant and has been recorded in history as early as 2727 BC used by the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung. This contains a substance that triggers to alter the mind’s way. This substance is called delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It is commonly called by teenagers as “weed”.
Weed can be applied in so many ways but it is famous for its recreational use and medicinal purposes. It can be used recreationally by means of smoking (i.e., bongs, blunts, and joints), vaporized, and by mixing it with edibles such as brownies, cookies, candies, and even brewing it as tea.

The government should invest more in this plant. I firmly believe that it can do wonders. This little evidence includes easing of nausea and vomiting, stimulation of appetite for cancer and AIDS patients, reduced eye pressure for people who have glaucoma, treatment of gastrointestinal illnesses and much more. Research have also suggested that some compounds found in marijuana can help people with Alzheimer’s disease, Breast Cancer, Insomnia, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and even asthma. One Oncology Physician that studied cannabis states that this one drug, “marijuana”, can replace 5 prescription drugs. They should also legalize it because it’s easy to plant so people can make home remedies and this would cost people less but people should have a license to plant marijuana for medicinal purposes only.
Marijuana has its pros and cons. It is a curse for some people who get addicted and a blessing to those who found a cure on it. Whatever the decision is, I hope that they give this plant a chance. A chance that may save not only thousands but millions of lives out
