Argumentative Essay: The Football Program

At the end of the day one must admit that football is dangerous, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to play. Football has been going on for too long and would not seem right to those who love the sport. It can put someone at risk, but there is new precautions so there won’t be a result of that. The essay that I have read in class emphasis about how dangerous of a sport football can be too high school students, to college students, and to professional N.F.L players. I have read multiple articles explaining to us how harmful playing football can be. Reading this article's made me think if playing football in high school and in colleges is fine. In my opinion, I do not think students should play football in high school because they have a higher risk of getting hurt. Above all, football is that that harmful to college and professional NFL players as it is too high school students. On the other hand, it is but since they've been playing for a long time they're used to it more than a regular high school student. When it comes to young boys playing football in high school, it could be a little more dangerous. Meaning that since most of the kids in high school are still between the ages of 15 through 18 their brains are still not fully developed. There are three reasons on why I don't think that high school students should not play football. My reasons would have to be because their brains are still not fully developed, they could get hurt and perhaps die, and because students don't have the right equipment to be playing.

In the recent years, there have been lawsuits after lawsuits filed against the NFL, after more and more retired football players have been diagnosed with brain damage resulting from concussions during their career.

Football is a dangerous sport that could lead up to injuries. From the charts given to me it shows that football has highest risk of concussions out off all the other sports. Over the past decade we learned that 3 deaths a year were from playing football. All sport could also cause injures but however football has the highest rate for injures out off all the other sports. Finally Football is a dangerous sport and most students and parents are aware of the consequences and don't sign up because of it.

The National Football League (NFL) has been under scrutiny because the NFL had downplayed the effects of head trauma and its links to CTE. Only in recent years has the NFL gave into public demand to do something about the concussion issue. However, the NFL could still do more to help its players. The article by Rodney Smith explores the benefits and drawbacks of litigation, administrative action, legislative action, and associational action by the NFL in dealing with these issues.

I believe that High school football should be limited. Kids could get very sincere results from the concussions and the effects from playing football that could change their lives. Doctors say head concussions for younger kids are worse and more damaging because their brains are not fully grown and that means they can’t fully heal yet and younger kids younger kids have weaker neck muscles so their necks might break trying to brace for impact of another person while tackling for the ball or their heads smashing back into their helmets while going against someone (blocking someone).

Players for Northwestern University are saying they need to be paid to play ball, this has created a spark across the country. Several major division one schools have brought this to the committee for the NCAA. This is ridiculous, college athletes get so many benefits from, getting to travel the country for free, and a top of the line education for free, and you get so many free clothing items.

Even though football can be very dangerous and sometimes fatal football should not be banned because scholarships give high school football players to go to college, football is such a learning game and teaches you how to become a better person, and it would cause unemployment for people who have careers in that

Say you are having a friendly conversation with someone you just met. You definitely would not want to get into a heated argument over which football team should have won the NFL, which can be highly controversial. However, everyone can relate to things that are going on in the world that everyone lives in, which are current events. Current events write history and affect people worldwide, whereas sports end when the season ends and the win-loss record gets tossed in the trash. Which would YOU want to dictate your life: a couple months of bouncing a ball or something that changes history forever?

Football has become the choice sport for the American people, with it’s tackling, halftime shows, and even occasional competition. American’s can’t get enough of it. However, football extends way past frontrunner which we call the NFl; football is divided down to various other categories such as Adult leagues, and also children play, such as High School football and Pop Warner. Since football is a contact sport, it’s bound to get messy, and sometimes from that mess occurs injuries that are sometimes severe. Football injuries range from simple things like a bruised leg to serious things like brain swelling; with that in mind football is too dangerous a sport for children to be playing. Football should be a banned sport for kids because they are prone to life-threatening injuries that they will have to live with the rest of their lives.

During the fall it's a ritual for many people to watch their favorite football teams Sunday afternoon. Or for many students you go to those Friday night football games with your friends. Football is a sport played all over america that unites people. Can you imagine what would happen if football vanished? The love of football runs deep in America. In many towns,it's more than just a sport. Football Should be continued to play because rules have changed and added equipment, players can choose to play or not, and lastly it gives physical endurance and courage.

“One rather simple way of getting interest into your paper is to take the side of the argument that most of the citizens will want to avoid.” (Roberts 381) I love that challenge. When a subject is given by a professor to their students, there are often many ways a student can take that subject and run. Just because a subject is about college football does not mean you should write about whether you agree with the sport or not. You can go many directions with that topic, how football can make students responsible, how college football can become a career, why college football is such a loved sport. I could go on and on. If you know or have an idea that other students in the class are writing in one direction why not give your instructor a curve

Football is a greatly debatable a very questionable sport to who sees what and what the true story is. Such in this instance of a football high school game. Was donell fans exaggerating his catch and what truly happened.

Going pro out of high school was the plan, but he had to also entertain the idea of an athletic scholarship. His mother, Lyanna Snow, never went to college. By choice, she worked her way up to become a horse trainer. She's had a passion for horses since childhood and loves her job. But the role of horses in the North has reduced more and more each year, so they've had to learn how to live on a limited budget. His father died just a few weeks before his birth, so she had to raise Jon on her own. She insists that he should do what makes him happy and not live for her, but he would like to have a good job and earn good money to make her life easier. So he wanted to make the right career choice.

           Football is really dangerous, I can tell you that. It might even be too dangerous for school. If it is taken out of school sports Then you will have a lot less injured students. Also a lot more sad students, for some people it is their passion. Their is also going to be less people going to college. Because of scholarships people have a chance to go to a collage. Most people cannot afford collage, Is it really up to us to take that chance away from them.  \
