Everyone loves watching a good movie, especially me. I love being lost in the worlds of fake characters on a screen more than being lost in the real world. Most of the time, the situations and environments the characters are in are more compelling and enthralling than the world us teenage kids live in. It’s hard having “fun” as a teenager (depending on what your definition of fun is). My parents always get annoyed when I complain to them about being bored. They always wonder just how I can be bored when there are so many things to do nowadays. I could go play ball, go skiing, read a book, go swimming, or simply use the internet. I’ve done all of these things so much that it’s all become so stale and boring. After I come out of my hibernation
Having the ability to be creative and letting your mind free is one thing, but having this trait passed from parent to child is sensational. Most people would say that you are an artist because your are creative. Why is that? Well, creativity comes from your DNA. According to the University of Helsinki, scientists had discovered that creativity may be determined by our DNA. The Finnish had concluded, "...with increased creativity had duplicate DNA strands that contained a gene that affected the processing of serotonin, a key neurotransmitter. However, both scientists, Stephen Cauchi and David Cox discovered that there are creativity genes. Which means those creative people out there could linked to be thinking in a flourished way. For those who are creative with artistic talents, they are linked with creativity in their DNA will duplicate the DNA strands. This trait is part of an alleles that makes creativity in genes. Therefore, creativity can be transmitted from the parent to the child.
It’s a very difficult thing for adults to write accurate and believable teenage characters. Often times, people my age are written to be significantly too stereotypical. Apparently, the middle aged white men who write most of these movies think every single teenager in high school is either an athlete with no passions other than sports or a nerd who has never looked up from a book. As someone who has only been out of high school for 6 months, I feel pretty confident in saying those stereotypes rarely exist in real life.
To begin with, there are many reasons why teen films are so appealing to their audience. Starting with the theme, Teen films appeal to teenagers and young adults. One of the reasons is that teens love the central themes and love to watch. The topics around teens film usually include the theme of breaking the status quo, peer pressure, friendship and includes meaningful theme. Teens love watching teen films because the scenes in the movie and experiences are the same for themselves, for example, in “High School Musical” the main theme of this movie is “The Start of Something New”. In the film “High School Musical” teens are always facing issues that they don’t want to face, work that they don’t want to do, even some awesome opportunities that teens are scared to take part in. In the film, Gabriella and Troy have an opportunity to sing on the stage. In the
One day there was an open field, but not just any open field. This field was guarded by a goddess, Nixious (Nix-e-ous) goddess of disease. In this field laid her treasure, a young rancher and her cottage with sheep. This rancher impressed the goddess, and earned the name Simkaxzi (Sim-kah-z). One day, a mischievous young thief came to the ranch to take the sheep flock. As soon as he started to put a lead on one of the sheep’s neck, the goddess awakened. Nixious as furious as ever, and picked up the thief with her mighty grasp. She called Simkaxzi down from her small cottage. Nixious announced “Here is thy thief. Simkaxzi should you be thy one to decide punishment, what would it be.” Simkaxzi replied “Let his family be cursed with a disease
In the essay, “High School Confidential: Notes on Teen Movies,” David Denby argues that teen movies reflect each other and lack originality. To prove his argument, Denby illustrates the majority of teen movie’s typical characters and events such as the antagonists that are the popular rich girl with long blonde hair, a dense quarterback, the geeky protagonist who is usually an outsider with family and/or friends struggles, and the importance of prom night. His purpose is to expose teen movies for having a pattern of cliches and in order to convey his this, Denby addresses the stereotypes and lack of creativity. Denby addresses teenagers and others who had similar experiences in their high school career and appeals to them by using a casual,

Curiosity is a key aspect of human behavior, allowing individuals to learn and explore in their environment. Curiosity is the desire to learn or know about something that leads to positive and negative outcomes . The ancient Greek tale of the 'Pandora effect' (ie to open the box because you don’t know what's in it) offers unique insight into curiosity, suggesting that an individuals inquisitive behavior may yield negative consequences. Whilst the Pandora effect explains one possible outcome to curiosity it lacks key scientific evidence which is crucial in enhancing its validity. This has prompted psychologists to investigate and predict decisions and behavior that pertain to curiosity.
Like most people, my love for writing grew from my love for reading. As a kid, I read everything I could; newspapers, flyers, ingredients on tin food wrappers to tattered comics from street vendors. I kept reading, and my appetite for the written word grew leaps and bounds with every passing year, but it never occurred to me that I could write, I did not write anything of significance until I reached college, until I stumbled upon online blogs, and thriving online forums.
Being creative is a major part of who I am and always have been. As early in my life as I can remember, I have always been exposed to art. Whether it was painting, drawing, coloring, or making homemade gifts, it was the one thing I truly desired. Although I am a creative person, I am also more of an introvert than an extrovert. I have taken many personality and career tests and I have always been pointed in the direction of becoming a graphic designer. I never really thought about graphic design as a profession until my teachers and experiences I had through out my high school career helped confirm my decision to continue in that direction.
Is school boring? Do you feel like you won’t learn anything for the future? I think kids need to learn life skills and learn how to survive alone. That’s why I think these three innovations would be perfect. The three innovations for Maize South Middle School would be a swimming pool, a greenhouse, and a survival program.
Fascinated...Fascinated is the only word to describe how I’m feeling about art this semester and this year, which as flow by so quickly that it is finally coming to an end.Last sEmester I was a newbie at art and didn’t really understand the meaning behind art class, art is about showing your creative side and expressing your feelings in the things you draw or create.I remember not knowing what complementary colors or monochromatic colors on the color wheel, and how to draw faces properly or use clay, but now I understand a lot about art.
We have to remember that temptation will come our way. Notice what God's word noted about Jesus. Luke 4:13 says, "When the devil HAD FINISHED TEMPTING Jesus, he LEFT HIM UNTIL the NEXT OPPORTUNITY came.
Did you know Isaac Newton is said to have figured out gravity while sitting under a tree, watching apples fall. Yes, a man found an important key in history probably bored out of his mind watching those apples plummet to the ground. People are in controversy between whether or not boredom is a great skill to have or if it's just a waste of time. Boredom is a great way to recall great memories, be creative, and help maintain good listening
We all can agree that there are those days we tend to be incredibly lazy. For me, those days are an everyday cycle. I pretend I need to go to the bathroom to avoid having to clear up the dishes at the end of dinnertime, I might hide if I knew my parents needed help cleaning up the yard, I still throw my things under my bed to make it look like I had cleaned my room, and even in school I secretly play games on my chromebook, to avoid classwork, while acting as if I knew what it was the teacher was teaching in class that day. To be honest, I’ve never been very good at doing things I don’t want to do, even if they are quite easy. I still leave my clothes on the floor because for some reason putting them away is just too much effort. The thing
I. Few years ago, my friend Sheila, a star athlete, was diagnosed with brain cancer at a young age of 20. It was in an advance stage and doctors gave her six months to live. She could not continue playing Tennis, a sport she loved. That is when she rediscovered her interest for Origami. It brought her great joy and helped her deal with her condition. She passed away two years later- peacefully.
