Being inducted into National Honors Society requires a student to demonstrate all of the four qualities many of our role models in the present and in the past have possessed, which include: scholarship, service, leadership and character. As I’m considered a candidate for this group, I already possess the quality of scholarship and it is my duty in this paper to show that I hold the other three important attributes needed to qualify for this institution.
I’ve been wanting to join this prestigious organization since I first heard of it back when I was in middle school. What I’ve heard about the National Honors Society is that if you’re chosen, you have the opportunity to apply for more scholarships than others. Like any other ambitious student,

I am honored to be among the commendable students whom are being considered to be a part of such a prestigious organization, The National Honor Society. I have been wanting to be a part of this organization the second I stepped into this school. Of course I have worked vigorously for it, there has not been one year here at Lone Star where I have not been in less than 3 Pre-AP or AP classes with averages frequently resulting in an A. I work hard everyday and night in order to ensure my success now and in the future. Members of the National Honors society gracefully and diligently display four important characteristics during and after their induction. These individuals set examples to others through these important traits: scholarship, leadership, character, and service. All of these characteristics are very important and unable to be fully mastered without the other. But with everything, there is always a core or a center. This core of the traits is leadership. Having gone through two knee surgeries within two years I found that positivity is an invaluable part of recovering as well as maintaining the same drive and passion as before the two injuries. The ability to be positive is a precursor to building resiliency, and is, therefore, one of the most essential traits a successful person can have. In addition to staying positive and upbeat, I also find it imperative to give back to the community in which I live, wherever that community may be. Participating in the National Honor Society instilled in me the significance of serving one's community. Helping the
Yes. At my high school, I’ve participated in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) course as well as been a part of the CyberPatriot and Academic Bowl teams offered by the organization. Unfortunately, I could only spend two years of my high school career in that organization due to the lack of schedule space. I’ve also been a part of the International and National Honor Society clubs. The International Club was a club of students that helped to promote and express the different cultures at my school. As for the National Honor Society, we’ve helped the community by completing service projects, such as the Ronald McDonald House t-shirt sale and the Relay for Life event. In terms of school teams, I was a member of the Scholastic Competition
