Music is a beautiful form of producing harmony and expressing emotions, but a tune cannot suddenly pop up out of the abyss. Someone had to write music to be played. People who compose a tune are given the term composer. With many composers around the world, one that sticks out is Louis-Hector Berlioz. Hector Berlioz, oldest son of father, Louis-Joseph Berlioz, and mother, Marie-Antoinette was born in La Côte-Saint-André, France on December 11, 1803. His father, at a time being a massive idol for Hector, a physician and was believed to have introduced acupunctural techniques while his mother was a devout Roman Catholic, could not get Hector to have a love for classical languages. His father had wanted Hector to have an education in medicine. Berlioz was one of six siblings ;however, three had sadly died at a young age. The other two who had lived past the traumatic time were Nanci, who was younger than Hector by three years, and Adèle, who was the youngest and younger than Hector by eleven years. Berlioz was close to the both of them. In Hector's lifetime he had two different spouses but not at the same time. Harriet Smithson was his first partner and Mademoiselle Récio followed. Hector soon developed a passion for music which overflowed into his own music as he goes into further detail about how “the prevailing characteristics of my music are passionate expression, rhythmic animation, and unexpected turns.” He was entranced with music, so he started
